Alison Boardman is interested and involved at community level in Kerry. As a member of the board in local Refugee centres in Tralee and Killarney, she keeps up with what is happening in the local community, as well as contributing through her experience and through the Unique Voice Interpreting network of over 200 interpreters in Kerry. Alison Boardman is on the board of KADE which was established in 1993 and is a voluntary non - governmental organisation based in Tralee. It is operated by a Board of Management composed of individuals interested in DE from a range of perspectives. KADE aims to promote and support Development Education (DE) in Co. Kerry. KADE works to develop people skills, knowledge and understanding of the world. Founded in 1987, C.A.M.P is a voluntary organisation, which offers a unique opportunity to people with physical disabilities to gain confidence through the medium of adventure activities.
